Over ten years I have read many hundreds of great philosophers, but of them all I have special affection for Albert Einstein. Having now read Albert Einstein's 'Special and General Relativity', and 'Ideas and Opinions' many times, I thought it would be nice to put up a web page that presented his ideas in as simple and ordered way as possible.

Albert Einstein was a beautiful man, wise and moral, who lived in difficult times. I think all people will enjoy the great clarity and wisdom of his ideas, and they will find them very relevant and useful in our modern (and very disturbed) world. Below you will find quotations from Albert Einstein on a diversity of subjects, philosophy, religion, war, education, morality etc.

Of most significance though are his ideas on Physics and Reality. It was from reading Einstein that I first realized that matter was not made of tiny 'particles'. And having also read Lorentz (who believed in an Absolute Space) I realized that a slight modification of Einstein's ideas on Physical Reality solved many of the problems of modern physics. Einstein represented Matter as Spherical Fields which caused 'Relative' Space-Time. This can now be explained by replacing Einstein's Spherical Force Fields with Spherical Wave Motions of Space, which cause Matter, Time and Forces.

Man is, at one at the same time, a solitary being and a social being. As a solitary being, he attempts to protect his own existence and that of those who are closest to him, to satisfy his personal desires, and to develop his innate abilities. As a social being, he seeks to gain the recognition and affection of his fellow human beings, to share in their pleasures, to comfort them in their sorrows, and to improve their conditions of life. Only the existence of these varied, frequently conflicting strivings accounts for the special character of a man, and their specific combination determines the extent to which an individual can achieve an inner equilibrium and can contribute to the well-being of society. It is quite possible that the relative strength of these two drives is, in the main, fixed by inheritance. But the personality that finally emerges is largely formed by the environment in which a man happens to find himself during his development, by the structure of the society in which he grows up, by the tradition of that society, and by its appraisal of particular types of behaviour. It is society which provides man with food, clothing, a home, the tools of work, language, the forms of thought, and most of the content of thought; his life is made possible through the labour and the accomplishments of the many millions past and present who are all hidden behind the small word society.

It is evident, therefore, that the dependence of the individual upon society is a fact of nature which cannot be abolished- just as in the case of ants and bees. However, while the whole life process of ants and bees is fixed down to the smallest detail by rigid, hereditary instincts, the social pattern and interrelationships of human beings are very variable and susceptible to change. Memory, the capacity to make new combinations, the gift of oral communication has made possible developments among human beings which are not dictated by biological necessities. Such developments manifest themselves in traditions, institutions, and organizations; in literature; in scientific and engineering accomplishments; in works of art. This explains how it happens that, in a certain sense, man can influence his life through his own conduct, and that in this process conscious thinking and wanting can play a part.

Man acquires at birth, through heredity, a biological constitution which we must consider fixed and unalterable, including the natural urges which are characteristic of the human species. In addition, during his lifetime, he acquires a cultural constitution which he adopts from society through communication and through many other types of influences. It is this cultural constitution which, with the passage of time, is subject to change and which determines to a very large extent the relationship between the individual and society. Modern anthropology has taught us, through comparative investigation of so-called primitive cultures, which the social behaviour of human beings may differ greatly, depending upon prevailing cultural patterns and the types of organization which predominate in society. It is on this that those who are striving to improve the lot of man may ground their hopes: human beings are not condemned, because of their biological constitution, to annihilate each other or to be at the mercy of a cruel, self-inflicted fate. If we ask ourselves how the structure of society and the cultural attitude of man should be changed in order to make human life as satisfying as possible, we should constantly be conscious of the fact that there are certain conditions which we are unable to modify. It is only a slight exaggeration to say that mankind constitutes even now a planetary community of production and consumption. I have now reached the point where I may indicate briefly what to me constitutes the essence of the crisis in our time. It concerns the relationship of the individual to society. The individual has become more conscious than ever of his dependence upon society. But he does not experience this dependence as a positive asset, as an organic tie, as a protective force, but rather as a threat to his natural rights, or even to his economic existence. Moreover, his position in society is such that the egotistical drives of his make-up are constantly being accentuated, while his social drives, which are by nature weaker, progressively deteriorate. All human beings, whatever their position in society, are suffering from this process of deterioration. Unknowingly prisoners of their own egotism, they feel insecure, lonely, and deprived of the naive, simple and unsophisticated enjoyment of life. WAITING ... is always a solution from not achieving something or better said, for not acting. We are afraid to make the big step because we are afraid to be right. We need to make ourselves to believe that one day, some day it will come. We wait until that perfect day will come ... and when that perfect day will come, we realize it is too late. Or maybe we don´t realize it at all. People also say ... it is too late, as I recognize it in my own language and behavior. The truth is that, IT IS NEVER TOO LATE! But, we need to get the courage to simply accept that WAITING is not a choice.

I am waiting for that perfect day to say YES, I am waiting till I get the perfect job to be happy and fulfilled, I am waiting for my kids to grow up, to be able to invest time in my hobbies, I am waiting till my retirement to start getting some rest ... and so on. Let´s face it!!! We are waiting till we die and there is nothing else to do.

We don´t know what is going to happen tomorrow, so why not take profit of this first day. It is a risk, but life is suppose to be challenging and fun ... risky, too. We risk when we eat artificial things, we risk when we get on the street, never knowing if every driver is a responsible one, we risk less years from our own life when starting smoking, drinking or taking drugs ... why not taking risk to something enjoyable that brings back the FUN and HAPPINESS in our life?
REASONS ... is a way of being comfortable with your life. It is much easier to make yourself believe that there is something out there that keeps you away ... far away from achieving your dreams. This are reasons!

It is not easy .. I am not saying it is, or it should be ... believe me, I know how hard it is to deal with this kind of treats ... but it is achievable and rewarding. At one point, you will see results that will motivate you go forward and forward ... till you see your dreams realizing itself.

We can choose how to see ourselves or others, this is completely true. See the world and people as being good and nice, peaceful and happy and you will find out that you are right regarding your vision about life. It is not a pure luck if you find good people in your life or a misfortune if you only encounter those bad ones. It’s up to you ... what do you choose to look for?

You find happiness because you are looking for it.

You find violence because you constantly choose to look for it.

Since I become aware of this fact, I decided what to look for in my life. I always choose, and in 90% of the time I receive what I am looking for. In the 10% it just came into my life and in that instant I decide if I want to give attention to it or I just refuse to give attention to what I don´t want to see, hear or experience. It´s what you choose that makes the difference, not what it comes.

I constantly refuse to watch bad news, I refuse to read negative things that happen in the world, and the best is that I always try my best in giving attention to only those things that matters to me.

People around me find me complicated and not understandable but I can understand why, if I look at their life and the results they attract in their own life.

It is no wonder that there are such horrible things happening in the world. We give attention to it and therefore we receive more of it.

We complain about the constantly bad news we see on TV, about the stupidity that is being shown on each new TV show, but we refuse to understand that we will always receive more from that thing that we are looking for. Start searching for the good news and you will receive it. If yes, than congratulation! I may ask you to read forward because you have something to share with us :)

Turn on the TV and you will see it, open you computer and see the first page of your bookmarked newspaper, and so on. What kind of movie have you seen lately, what kind of book have you read or what kind of story have you told to somebody lately? Is the kind of news that may inspire you or others, or maybe the one that can be projected as experience into your life? If not, choose again!

Good things, bad things, good people, bad people, good experiences, bad experiences; all this are connected. Try to search and give attention to what you want to see reflected in your experience, in your life, and you will receive more of it.

To become a powerful money magnet:

Money Be clear about the amount of money you want to receive. State it and intend it! Don’t think about how much you can earn, but how much you want to receive.

Fall in love with money. Most people do not love money, because they always feel that they don't have enough of it.

Visualize and imagine yourself spending all the money you want, as though you have it already.

Speak, act, and think from the mindset of being wealthy now. Eliminate thoughts and words of lack such as "I can't afford it", "It is too expensive".

Do not speak or think of the lack of money for a single second.

Be grateful for the money you have. Appreciate it as you touch it.

Make lists of all the things you will buy with an abundance of money.

Do whatever it takes for you to feel wealthy.

Affirm to yourself every day that you have an abundance of money, and that it comes to you effortlessly.

Appreciate all the riches around you, including the riches of others. Look for wealth wherever you go, and appreciate it.

Be certain that money is coming to you.

Have you ever witnessed a dog with a bone? No matter how hard you try to wrench it out of that pooch's mouth, she won't let go. As a matter of fact, the more you attempt to take the bone away, the deeper the dog will sink her teeth in. That is sheer, dogged determination, a quality that is absolutely required if you want to achieve any goal, no matter how large or small-that is, regardless of the size of the bone.

The late Maurice Richard was a dog with a bone when it came to pursuing his dream of playing hockey. It was very clear what he wanted to do with his life early on, even though he incurred a large number of injuries at a young age. While he was ultimately accepted to play with the Montreal Canadiens, very early in his career he was labelled a "frail" player. He was also challenged by a lack of support from those around him, except for his devoted wife. Maurice's passion for the sport took him past these obstacles, however, and led him to a record-breaking career of more than 20 years. He had a bone and would not let go!

When you know what you want, and you have no doubt that you want it, you need to become just like Maurice Richard. Clench your teeth firmly on your bone and don't let it go. Be determined not to allow anyone or anything to take it from you.

Many circumstances can make it difficult to hold on, such as health challenges or your own doubts and fears. Other people, even well-meaning loved ones, may also try to yank that bone away from you. When you face these obstacles, you just need to turn up the volume on your determination and feel the passion of your desire, the force that will propel you toward your goals.

While being determined is crucial, it's also important to open yourself up to receive new ideas and expand your thinking. You must be ready to let go of those limiting thoughts that feature the words should and ought to, such as, I should be realistic and not make such a lofty goal for myself, or I ought to do what the people I love want me to do instead of pursuing my own passion. Go for what you really want!

Challenge yourself to scratch out a new path and chase your dream, but be careful of the route you take. Be willing to explore new paths; after all, if you travel the same route that you've been taking thus far, you'll end up at the same destination. Is that where you long to go?

I received today a question.

What does it mean hard work? To become a workaholic?

"In Wikipedia dictionary workaholic, colloquially, is a person who is addicted to work. The phrase does not always imply that the person actually enjoys their work, but rather simply feels compelled to do it. There is no generally accepted medical definition of such a condition, although some forms of stress, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder can be work-related."

In my vision “hard work” has a different meaning as workaholic. I believe lot of people does not see the difference in here.

In the interview I just had, the person was asked to differentiate this thing.
To make a good impression, my candidate pretended she was explaining the meaning or difference but she was just playing with the words.

I had a conclusion: Some people become workaholic on their way of proving themselves they are good, they want to earn more money and all it matters is the result. But is the meaning of result? My idea was thinking about success in work. Some are speaking about money as result.

Margaret Thatcher, the Former Prime Minister of England said: "I do not know anyone who has got to the top without hard work. That is the recipe. It will not always get you to the top, but should get you pretty near."

To achieve that top you set for yourself you will surely need hard work. But before you decide to start to work hard define for yourself what hard work means. If you really like that kind of job you're doing than do your best being successful with it and work smart.

Another common question in my interviews. What is success? How can you describe success? I believe and trust in people's creativity but most of the time they don't use it. As result 5 from 10 persons answer trying to give the best definition found once in a book or blog.

I insist to think about a definition that characterize them. It should come from inside. Astonishing!

Conclusion: people don't like this kind of questions not because they may not know the answer but because they do not allow themselves to think about success as something they deserve to have or be.
